PIKO Time For Arcstream AV

24 August 2010 14.48 BST

Arcstream AV has teamed up with laser manufacturer Ray Laser Technologies (RTi) to introduce another new laser system exclusively to the UK market. The PIKO range is ideal for touring productions due to its compact size and reduced weight.

The PIKO series is available in both 1.5 and 3.0 watt RGB models providing a full colour palette and absolute white balance point. The compact, super lightweight systems are the smallest available in their class with low noise and heat emissions, designed with confined spaces in mind. With a sealed cabinet and IP54 rating they can stand up to outdoor use plus the humidity and smoky environments of indoor productions with little or no maintenance.

The PIKOs are controllable via DMX or standard ILDA input and have a built in touch screen from which all parameters can be adjusted, they also feature scan fail detection, over current protection and external interlock as standard.

Neil Dickinson, Arcstream AV’s managing director explained: “The new PIKO range is notably smaller and lighter than any other system and its robust casing makes it much more compatible with life on the road. This new accessibility makes lasers a must have for the lighting designers bag of tricks as they can be used to create outstanding effects and even combined with pyrotechnics and other effects for an amazing set at festivals, concerts and touring gigs.”

Ray Laser Technologies is also the brains behind the NANO range with the flagship model, the Nano Rainbow being the world’s first OPS laser with a massive six individual colour wavelengths which Arcstream made exclusively available earlier this year.
