Neptunus Serves Up A Temporary VIP Lounge At Wimbledon
16 August 2010 15.24 BST
Event implementation agency SLS, commissioned by IMG, was asked to supply a VIP hospitality lounge for HSBC’s Premier and Advanced account holders at the Wimbledon Tennis Championships from June 21 to July 4. Neptunus, the temporary structures specialist, was awarded this prestigious project.
As the official banking partner of the tournament, HSBC required a ‘Wimbledon Haven’ to add an extra touch of service to the experience of its premium customers with tickets to watch matches.
A team of Neptunus and SLS experts, working within a restricted time frame, seamlessly linked together a series of its Mercury marquees to provide an open plan hospitality area for the start of the tournament.
Based on a stylish and highly technical design, Neptunus’ contemporary Mercury structures are in keeping with a prestigious event of this magnitude, while the distinctive external frame and taut membrane pavilion roofs ensured rain wouldn’t dampen guests’ spirits, even if it did stop play.
The interior fit-out of the exclusive lounge was carried out by the SLS Group in HSBC’s corporate colours of red and white. The main features included a large screen showing live action from Centre Court, comfortable seating areas and light snacks and refreshments, allowing customers to enjoy Murray Mania in style.
Available in countless styles, dimensions and combinations, Neptunus can provide event structures from simple pergolas to three storey penthouses, complete with balconies.
Neptunus has provided structures for high profile events including London Fashion Week, Masterpiece Fair London and regularly provides solutions to blue-chip companies including Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Philips and Volkswagen.
