Reutlinger Cable Holders Are The First Choice For Fairs And Stages
12 August 2010 15.22 BST
German company Reutlinger’s cable holders Type 50SVII and Type 80SVII, launched in 2008, have become the de facto product on exhibition stands at trade fairs across Europe and the U.S.
The high-load-bearing models are specifically designed for use in event technology rigging and fair booth construction. A huge number of companies have used them to suspend everything from speakers, lights, trussing and more in the construction of their exhibition stands at shows throughout Messe Frankfurt, Messe Berlin and Hannover Messe, to name a few, including the recent Light+Building show in Frankfurt and Showtech in Berlin.
Word spread quickly that cable holders are not just state-of-the-art suspension technology, but save huge amounts of time spent adjusting and levelling wedge-sockets or ‘bullets’, especially when suspending from multiple points. They also leave no trace on the cables, which are permanently deformed by bullets et al.
Furthermore, growing safety awareness throughout the event production industry and increasing demands for products´compliance with European norms and accident-prevention regulations has benefitted Reutlinger systems; they are the only load-bearing cable systems to have obtained the two most demanding and stringently tested European safety certificates, the German TÜV/GS and BGV C1.
To better distinguish these holders, and to make them more suitable for event applications, the cable holders have been coated in black. Both holders are also available with ringnut or with fork and safety-bolt. In addition, all variations of both models — coupling bolt, ringnut or fork — are available with a lateral cable exit, to allow direct coupling onto loads that won´t take a cable. In combination with a standard Doughty half-coupler, these lateral-exit models are the only single-unit device for direct coupling of cables and pipes (trusses).
