Avolites At The Helm On Friendly Fires

02 August 2010 13.51 BST

St Albans-based trio, Friendly Fires recently took to the stage at the Coronet theatre in an event, curated by the band, to bring together their friends and favourite contemporaries for one special night. With an Avolites Pearl Expert, Avolites Art2000 48 way and 16A dimmer, the lighting was led by Mark Video and supplied by Insight/Color Sound.

Ending their busy year in 2009, front man Ed Macfarlane set the tone: "This'll be our last gig for a long time." Culminating a year which had seen them win many awards, plus a Mercury nomination for their critically acclaimed debut album, The Friendly Fires went on to play a full live set. Mark bathed them in light using Martin MAC 500s, Martin MAC 600s, Martin Atomic 3000s, Robe 250ats, Pixeltrack LED battens, Nova Flowers, RML Contra-Twists, RML Floor Tumblers, RML Pillars and RML Twists.

The gig lived up to expectations and the band pulled an all-nighter for fans and music minded peers in the sold-out party of the year.
