Sponsored by Osram, Fern Howard Ltd and Clare Instruments, the new awards aim to showcase and reward the best that members have to offer.

The categories are light source product of the year, commercial product of the year, domestic product of the year, innovation award and lifetime achievement.

Judges will consist of a broad range of experts from designers, journalists, industry, government bodies and others. Nominations can be made by Association members for their own products within the categories listed above.

A short statement on the product (or person) outlining the merits and accompanied by a suitable photograph or catalogue entry is all that is required.

The deadline for entries is Friday May 28 2010.

The winners will be announced at the LA Awards Gala Dinner at Stratford upon Avon on July 14.
