K-array Fits Adlib’s Corporate Bill
30 April 2010 12.08 BST
Exclusively distributed in the UK by Sennheiser, K-array loudspeaker systems are gaining acceptance as the ideal solution for small and medium-sized corporate events, as discovered by Liverpool-based Adlib Audio.
Already one of the UK’s highest profile service companies for the touring market, when Adlib moved into the corporate event business, the company required a PA system that fulfilled the very particular needs of that industry. The company bought its first K-array System in March 2009, quickly followed by an additional system.
“When Adlib moved into the corporate market we needed to retain our excellent reputation for supplying high quality equipment and service,” said the company’s AV manager, Tristan Bryant.
“Systems appropriate for rock’n’roll aren’t necessarily suitable for corporate events because, when a client spends a large amount of money on beautifully dressing a room, the last thing they want is a lot of bulky sound equipment spoiling it.”
Adlib wanted a discrete system, but would not accept inferior audio quality, which is where K-array comes into its own.
“Being powered and self-supporting, the system’s footprint is very small. It’s so unobtrusive many clients have to ask where the speakers actually are,” said Tristan. “But there is no compromise on sound quality. The audio clarity and coverage is highly impressive and engineers are surprised at the excellent results from such a diminutive system.”
The K-array systems have already been used on a variety of events, from small conferences of 50 delegates through to a dinner for 500 in Liverpool’s Anglican cathedral.
“Every job we use the K-array on gets the same response from the client and delegates, ‘We love the speakers, they look and sound amazing!’” said Tristan. “Added to that the incredibly fast setup time, its lightweight construction and numerous pre-programmed EQ patterns means that you really struggle to find anything about it to criticise.”
