The Third Knight Of Illumination Awards Opens For Nominations
22 April 2010 17.20 BST
The third Knight of Illumination Awards is now accepting nominations. The event involves the only Awards exclusively dedicated to professional lighting designers and has become a big industry event.
The Awards are organised by STLD, ALD and Clay Paky, and are sponsored by Osram. Also supporting the event are ABTT, Lighting & Sound International, PLASA, The Theatres Trust and Women In Lighting.
This new edition of the Awards, implemented with improved criteria and rules, is open to UK-based LDs (for the Theatre section it is open to theatre productions performed in the UK though not necessarily designed by UK based LDs).
The applications can be made not only directly by UK-based LDs, but also by UK rental companies
and/or LDs sponsors entering any UK-based LD’s work that they feel merits nomination for this year's awards.
Exclusively for Television categories: anyone can submit a show; they do not have to have worked on it.
The Awards for “The Knight of Illumination” will be nominated and judged by a panel of professional reviewers working in the specific categories, selected and coordinated by the STLD and the ALD.
