ETA Sound Orders Nexo GEO S12 System
20 April 2010 13.22 BST
Attending the ProLight+Sound show in Frankfurt provided an opportunity for ETASound to close a deal with Nexo for a new GEO S12 line-array system, after a convincing one-time demo at SSE Audio Group’s facilities earlier in the month.
Eddie Thomas of ETASound confirmed that he has ordered a total of 16 GEO S12 compact line array cabinets, along with four PS15 infill and/or stage monitors, and power options in the shape of three NXAMP 4x4 amplifiers. Expanding his existing Nexo inventory, ETASound becomes one of the first rental companies in the world to offer the new RS18 sub, buying eight units after this latest Nexo subbass was released in Frankfurt.
SSE Sales handled the larger part of the transaction. “Buying the S12 package from SSE gave me the option to order bespoke flight cases and flying kit , and they will deliver the whole system complete and ready to go,” said Eddie Thomas.
“I was looking for an upgrade that would be smaller than previous system, lighter and easy to use, but without compromising sound quality, ” continued Thomas, who is a newcomer to Nexo’s GEO design philosophy. “We have a number of small indoor and outdoor events this summer, and we wanted a compact system that was quick to rig. I was very impressed with the S12 system we saw at SSE, only needed to hear it once!”
ETASound is based in north Wales, and has a London office at the O2 Arena. As well as sound production rental, the company supplies, designs and installs sound and voice alarm systems for large arenas, stadia and exhibition centres, and holds the contract for maintaining the house sound systems at the O2 Arena.
