ILMC Production Meeting (IPM) Expands Its Programming
08 December 2009 15.51 BST
Following on from the success of last year’s meeting, Total Production International (TPi) is proud to be this year's media associate of the IPM.
ILMC's Chris Prosser commented: “Total Production is the obvious partner for the IPM, they have a reach into this sector unlike any other and editorial that can’t be beaten.”
The event will take place on Thursday March 11 at the Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington, London, just before the main ILMC event kicks off on the Friday. The aim is to attract up to 150 professionals from the world of production, mainly focusing on production managers, promoter’s reps and production supply companies. The IPM is not limited to the UK and last year its delegateship was represented by 15 countries.
The IPM has gradually grown since its inception three years ago, and the 2010 edition is planning six sessions, including breakout meetings, a networking buffet lunch and post-event drinks and nibbles, integrating with other conference delegates in the evening.
While the full agenda will be announced in the New Year, organisers say that discussion topics are likely to include the establishment of common procedures for promoters’ reps and production managers on a pan-European level, in order to ensure consistency and safety.
“We’re going to be looking at what happens when something goes wrong and you have to change your usual approved way of working,” said IPM chairman Chrissy Uerlings. “We need procedures to make it easier for people on the floor to decide whether or not a show is going to happen.”
The IPM takes place on Thursday March 11 at the Royal Garden Hotel in London. The event is free to attend for ILMC delegates (although registration is separate), or £95 for non delegates. Full information is available online at the ILMC 22 conference mini site at www.ilmc.com.
