The company was nominated in three other categories and applauded by Brian Sims, editor of Security Manager Today magazine. Brian hosted the prestigious awards ceremony at London’s Park Lane Hilton, which was attended by over 750 security professionals, all leaders in their own sectors. Brian praised the high quality of the awards and said: “The award finalists should feel very proud to receive the commendation of the judging panel in a year when standards have been very high.”

In selecting Showsec as winners of the Event Security Team Of The Year Award the judges commented that they had proven to be “the best, most consistent, and most innovative providers of event stewarding and security professionals”.

The additional categories Showsec was highly commended for were International Achievement Award (for B’estfest in Romania), Training Initiative Of The Year (for the Showsec Academy) and Contract Security Manager Of The Year (for operations director Simon Battersby.)
