Global Design Solutions (GDS) have announced the launch of LiteWare Solar, a portable solar charging system for the LiteWare range.

LiteWare is a stand-alone controllable light source with charging flightcase units, which GDS successfully launched in February 2009. Designed predominantly for the events and entertainment industries it has made a significant impact in the marketplace, with over 90% of large professional event companies holding inventory.

The latest addition to the range is LiteWare Solar, a portable solar charging system. LiteWare Solar is easily deployable and transports in its own flight case, it allows LiteWare to be charged in all weathers and does not rely on mains electricity for operation. It works directly with the existing LiteWare range and provides charging power supply via a new connection plate on the LiteWare FC6 and FC10 charging flightcases, which allows the connection of any sustainable source
delivering DC voltage. GDS will be showing the LiteWare Solar as a sustainable option, however users could use a wind turbine for example, as the case will automatically detect the voltage supplied and regulate the current available to charge LiteWare.
