Kolot Ramim Ltd Becomes First Adamson Partner In Israel
22 September 2009 11.53 BST
Kolot Ramim located in Upper Galilee, Kibbutz Manara, in Israel, recently became the first Israeli Adamson partner in the Adamson Network. A medium sized company of 20 employees headed by founder and owner Yossi Bar mainly focuses on concerts for 500 to 5000 heads, corporate shows, and theater productions, offering full lighting, staging and backline services.
Alongside Yossi, Gadi Reik, Kolot Ramim’s Head Audio Engineer with 25 years of studio and live experience, currently FOH Engineer and Technical Director for a celebrated Israeli performer NOA, purchased 16 Spektrix cabinets and eight Spektrix Subs adding to their already wide-ranging inventory consisting of Meyer Sound speakers, Midas consoles, Lab. Gruppen amps and Clair & D&B monitors among others.
First becoming aware of Adamson through media outlets and concerts while on the road in Europe with NOA, Kolot Ramim decided to purchase Adamson equipment after evaluating it next to other brands, being impressed with the innovation and sound quality. Yossi Bar commented: “Adamson combines our old system’s hifi qualities with the addition of punch and power, exceptional low end response, light weight and ease of use.”
Kolot Ramim’s first show with their new Adamson system was at the 3-day, Caesarea Jazz Festival June 2009, which took place in the picturesque Caesarea Roman Port, with a seating capacity of 2300. The festival, which is on its 5th year, features good old classical jazz, encompassing the traditional rhythms of New Orleans, Dixieland, and hot swing.
Jochen Sommer, Director of Adamson Europe GmbH, had scheduled a training seminar and visit to coincide with the festival. The sound design was executed by Gadi Reik and Jochen Sommer; a seated area of 65 meters wide and 40 meters deep was to be covered. To archive full throw on the main system, Meyer Sound UPA 1P’s were used to supplement the front rows as front fills. The SpekTrix system specs 120 degrees of horizontal coverage, making it a perfect system for the width of the venue without needing additional side fills. The engineers at the festival chose a Midas Heritage 3000 Console and Clair Brothers and Meyer Monitors.
Many artists commented on the sound quality, and the promoter for the Caesarea Jazz festival remarked that it was the best Jazz Festival sound he had ever heard; including the Montreaux Jazz Festival. It certainly gave Kolot Ramim the confirmation of the success on their first time out with Adamson. Congratulations!
