Fohhn ships new WaveLine PT-8 line array system

Compact speaker offers high quality, powerful solution for touring and installation.

Oswestry, UK, 19th May 2009 - Systems Workshop Distribution has announced that German pro audio manufacturer Fohhn is shipping its brand new WaveLine Compact PT-8 line array speaker system. The powerful speaker is based on the design and technology of Fohhn's successful PT-9 series, but its compact size and weight (just 14.5 kg per box) makes it an even more practical option for both flown and stacked PA systems.
 
The two-way, twin coaxial, horn-loaded line array speaker features two 6.5 inch drivers and one 1.4 inch neodymium compression driver with HF phase EQ. Each speaker has a power handling capacity of 300 W (LMF) and 70 W (HF), with LMF and HF impedance of 16 ohms.
 
The PT-8 has a multi-layered ply 15mm enclosure sealed with polyurea varnish and a stylish front cover. Each box has integrated PT-8 flyware, two NL4MP Speakon connectors and two handling recesses at the back, with two aluminium handles at the front for easy rigging and installation.
 
Designed for use in a variety of venues including opera houses, concert halls, theatres and churches, the PT-8 is fully compatible with the Fohhn system and can be teamed with Fohhn's XS-4, XS-30 and PS-9 subwoofers and the A-2.2100 DSP amplifier for a range of applications.
 
Accessories for the PT-8 include flying and stacking cradles and touring cases. Each speaker will retail at £2825.55 (inc VAT).
