He’s worked for Los Temerarious since 1998 and this is their first tour in three years.

Equipment for the US legs of the tour is being supplied by Paradign Production Services from Florida, and Robe fixtures were originally recommended to Boggino by Paradign’s George Valdez, who also programmed the show with Boggino, using a grandMA full size console.

“George is the principal of Paradign and a very knowledgeable LD in his own right,” states Boggino, “So I completely trusted his judgement when he suggested I use Robe’s ColorSpot and ColorWash 1200E AT units for the first time”. Once Valdez had demo’d the fixtures, Boggino was very impressed, “I particularly liked the quality of light, smooth movement and silent operation, and the colour palette is fantastic,” he comments.

He’s also using the standard set of ColorSpot 1200E AT gobos which he thinks are excellent, allowing him to create some dramatic aerials and well defined beam projections. He says the Prism effect is very useful along with the slow and ultra smooth movement, all of which is ideal for a Temerarious show, which includes many soft, romantic ballads.

One of the design challenges was to create a delicate dynamic, with pastel hues and gentle shades of colour in a highly visual environment, complimenting the music but not distracting. “The versatility of the 1200s really helped me achieve this goal” he says.

The tour originally kicked off back in August 2008 with 2 weeks rehearsals at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida, followed by a very high profile show at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, Ca, where over 7000 people enjoyed the band.

Boggino has become a great Robe advocate in this time, and has also spec’d Robe moving lights for singer Ricardo Arjona’s upcoming world tour.
