ILMC Production Meeting The Royal Garden Hotel
Wednesday December 7th - 10.30am
The production fraternity is once more gathering for a day of networking and discussion at the 4th ILMC Production meeting (IPM).
Bringing together some of the world's most renowned production managers, suppliers and promoter's representatives, the event aims to address and highlight the key areas of interest and concern in the sector.
At the 2011 event, IPM drew 120 professionals from 21 countries who met to discuss common issues and identify better ways of working on the international touring scene. In attendance were such luminaries as Wob Roberts, Bryan Grant, Chrissy Uerlings and Roger Barrett.
This year we are expecting that to rise to around 150 delegates from a similar number of markets. There are also many improvements in the event this year, including extended network sessions and a trade area for companies to showcase their products
Topics this year will include the disasters that occurred around the world due to inclement weather, a look at the issues that arise when there is a conflict between international and local perceptions, and also education. IPM chairman Carl Martin says, “As chairman of last year's IPM, I was delighted to carry on Chrissy Uerling's work and to present a forum that allowed people from production, touring, venues, promotion, suppliers, and other disciplines within the live music industry, to get together and discuss, sensibly, a vast array of subjects that concern us all. IPM 2012 cannot come soon enough for me.”
The IPM will also include a networking buffet lunch and post-event drinks and nibbles, integrating with other ILMC delegates in the evening. The event is £30 to attend for ILMC delegates (although registration is separate), or £60 for non delegates. Registration is available from Monday 5th December
