National Skills Academy For Creative & Cultural Third Annual Industry Conference
Tuesday November 29th - 14.23pm
The National Skills Academy for Creative and Cultural will be hosting its Annual Industry Conference at The Lowry, Salford Quays, on Tuesday 6 and Wednesday 7 March 2012.
In a growth industry predicted to expand 40% by 2020, creative and cultural organisations are confronting some of the most challenging economic circumstances of recent history. The Skills Academy’s third Annual Industry Conference will bring together professionals from the creative and cultural industries to address these challenges, and to discuss how they can work better in collaboration with young people and education.
The conference will explore the real return on investment in skills and what impact this is having on the sector. It will look at the issues the industry is facing, explore possible responses and focus on real, practical solutions.
The Skills Academy is delighted to announce John Hayes MP (Minister of State for Further Education, Skills and Lifelong Learning) as the keynote speaker. Also joining the debate will be some of the most influential figures from the creative and cultural sector including Paul Latham (Chief Operating Officer – International, Live Nation Entertainment), Julian Bird (Chief Executive, SOLT) and Andrea Stark (Area Executive Director, East and South East, Arts Council).
