Tannoy Prepares For xSolutions

Thursday September 22nd - 14.14pm

Tannoy joins sister company Lab.gruppen for inaugural UK AV show.

Bringing a very busy year of international trade shows to a close, xSolutions is taking place at the Excel Centre in London in October, and both Tannoy and Lab.gruppen are looking forward to what promises to be a perfect showcase for their latest product innovations.

xSolutions is a brand new show for professionals who sell, install, purchase or have responsibility for the day-to-day running of audio and video communication technologies within commercial facilities, and as such provides the perfect environment for a the latest products from this world-renowned loudspeaker manufacturer.

Leading the charge will be Tannoy’s VX Series and VXP Series, the latter featuring Lab.gruppen’s new IDEEA (Intelli-Drive Energy Efficient Amplifier) power module – utilising the same technology found in their new E Series amplifier range, also on show. The new passive and self-powered loudspeakers build on the overwhelming success of the existing V Series range, with an expanded line-up that includes twin driver configurations and new QCW (Q-Centric Waveguide) transducer technology for optimal tonal clarity, LF performance and greater pattern control. The addition of Lab.gruppen’s IDEEA module also affords new levels of reliability and efficiency in the self-powered solution, in the form of VXP Series.

Also on the stand will be Tannoy’s highly successful QFLEX digital beam-steering array loudspeakers. With state of the art algorithms and dense physical spacing of transducers, the award-winning QFlex range is the first product of its kind to realise true full-range beam steering capabilities, delivering unrivalled broadband performance for both vocal and music applications in even the most acoustically challenging of spaces. The range has been enhanced by a recent upgrade giving the product improved functionality and superior capabilities for integration within large scale PA/VA applications.

Visitors can also expect to see the brand new OCV Series pendant open ceiling speakers, a range conceived and engineered to meet the exacting demands of the architectural sector. The unique design elements of OCV minimise the impact on aesthetics and allow the systems designer to locate the loudspeakers discretely, at a desired height without regard to the physical ceiling height, and in a manner that won’t conflict with other suspended systems such as lighting fixtures and ventilation.

With budget pressures an increasing fact of life when it comes to installed audio systems, Tannoy has recently introduced the new DVS Series, specifically designed for a wide variety of discrete small-to-medium scale sound reinforcement applications. Both DVS Series and the market-leading CVS Series of in-ceiling devices offer a highly competitive choice for value engineered projects where performance can’t be compromised, and a selection of models from each range will be on show at xSolutions.

As a perfect accompaniment, Lab.gruppen will be bringing along the brand new E Series install-centric amplifier range, recently launched at PLASA 2011. E Series utilizes much of the unique design philosophy and energy-efficient concepts debuted in the Swedish company’s flagship PLM 20000Q touring amplifier, but here deployed in a 1U, install-centric platform. The new 3-model range draws on over three decades of tour-honed design and manufacturing expertise to deliver a unique combination of performance, rock-solid reliability and energy-efficiency, and all at a very competitive price point.
