Audio-Technica Artists Rock Reading And Leeds
Friday September 2nd - 16.50pm
Some of Reading and Leeds festivals’ most exciting new UK and international talent was powered by Audio-Technica microphones this year.
Models from the popular Artist Elite and Artist Series ranges were much in evidence with bands including Bombay Bicycle Club, Mona, The Blackout and The Pigeon Detectives.
The punchy, articulate sound of the AE6100 hypercardioid dynamic mic was favoured by Bombay Bicycle Club (who performed tracks from their new A Different Kind Of Fix album to a packed Radio1/NME tent) and The Blackout’s twin vocalists Gavin Butler and Sean Smith, while the dual element AE2500 dynamic/condenser mic appeared with fast rising Nashville dudes Mona, We Are The Ocean and The Blackout.
Longstanding endorsees The Pigeon Detectives sported the largest selection of Audio-Technica mics over the weekend with everything from frontman Matt Bownman’s vocal (AE4100 cardioid dynamic) to guitars and drums (AE3000 large-diaphragm cardioid condenser and AT4047 dual-diaphragm condenser) relying on Artist Elite and Artist Series product across a variety of stages.
